In a bid to curb noise pollution and ensure public safety, the Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive against unauthorized and multi-tone sirens near Saibaba Temple, Champapet, on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Shri Chandra Kumar, ACP Traffic (South East), along with Inspector Mohammad Asif of Traffic Police Station Santoshnagar, Sub-Inspectors, and the traffic enforcement staff.
During the drive, three vehicles were found using unauthorized sirens in violation of traffic norms. The illegal sirens were seized on the spot, and challans were issued to the respective vehicle owners.
Speaking on the initiative, Inspector Mohammad Asif stated, "This drive is part of a broader effort to bring discipline on roads and address the issue of unnecessary noise caused by illegal sirens. Such measures are crucial for maintaining order and ensuring the safety of all road users."
The traffic department has reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement and urged motorists to follow all regulations, warning that similar checks will continue across various parts of the city in the coming days.
